Writer's picture: Spirit Beans CoffeeSpirit Beans Coffee

So you've tried your chestnut praline syrup in lattes already and loved it, now you're looking for something new. Something grown up? Try this nutty twist on a White Russian 🌰

Rolos? Like the chocolate caramels? Yep, that's the one. A super easy drink base to make is chocolate vodka, you can make it by the drink like I do in this recipe or you can make it by the bottle, remove a cup or so from a liter of your vodka of choice and then replace with chopped Rolo candies. Let it sit for a few hours, you may need to heat the remaining solid pieces to fully melt and incorporate.

But back to why we are really here - you need more to do with that Starbucks dupe chestnut praline syrup. And your homemade Kahlua. You basically made this delicacy completely from scratch. Add 3 coffee ice balls to complete your snowman and sprinkles too ☃️

Ingredients

Step 1: Make Chocolate Vodka

For a single drink, drop the Rolos in the vodka and give it a good shake. To speed up incorporation, microwave for 30 seconds, give it another good shake, microwave for 15 seconds, shake again, and then I needed another 15 seconds. Be careful not to heat too much, you'll evaporate some of the alcohol.

Step 2: Mix Drink

Add Kahlua, chestnut praline syrup, and heavy cream to the chocolate vodka and whip a little. Add ice and top with sprinkles.

I love these silicone trays to have coffee ice balls at the ready:

And these glass travel mugs are the perfect size for this drink...
